Samsung Galaxy S7 Logo Missing In Japan South Korea And China

Samsung fresh phone in the market, Galaxy S7, will be available for sale this week in Japan, China and South Korea but shockingly enough, these devices do not have the company's famous logo on them.

Samsung Electronics recently revealed its long waited for device, the Galaxy S7, at the Mobile World Congress held in Spain, Barcelona. This smartphone is going to be available for purchase in the markets of China, Japan and South Korea, but one shocking fact is noticed. The famous logo of the tech company in front of the phones does not exist on these devices.

Samsung is not a stranger, just like many other companies, when it comes to advertising and spending huge sums of money on it, so that everyone knows the brand. However, its latest phones, which will soon be available in China, Japan and South Korea, don’t have the organizations usual logo.

The tech giant has removed its traditional Samsung logo from Galaxy S7 in the major market of Japan, South Korea, and China. In other markets, the traditional logo will be seen on the front of the device. At the conference where this latest phone was revealed, it did have the logo on the handsets. It is not clear as to why the tech business has removed the logo from the handsets that will be sold in these areas, and has refused to make comments regarding the move.

Even on the website of the company in China and South Korea, Galaxy S7 does not have the logo on it, which exists on the rear of devices. Whereas the site it has for the United States shows the logo on the latest devices. Samsung is known for its advertising and a logo on this device is a form of an advertisement too, but it is not known as to why the company has planned to remove the logo in certain countries. All of its mobile phones from high end to mid ranged and low end phones consists of the logo, thus this recent move is unpredictable.

The removal of the logo from Japan and the website of the country on the other hand was not a shocker as Samsung has done this before too, in 2015 for it Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S6 Edge. However back then, the company still did not provide insight as to why it did this in the region. Speculations suggest that the organization is simply doing this ‘by accident’ that might have happened during the production. This theory is not connecting all the dots that well because if this was the case, even the phone in the US would not have the logo, which they do, as the production is done at the same location.

A controversial theory suggests that Samsung has done this in attempts to copy its major rival in the industry, Apple, but it would not continue this as it has already faced many problems with its competitor in the past. Another more sensible theory is that the company is simply going through a rough patch and it is known that it is struggling in the market because of new Chinese competitors.
