Amazon Works Towards Giving A Strong Answer To Angies List Lawsuit
The e-commerce giant has been accused of mis-using a small startup business called Angie's List to attract more potential customers to commercialized business.
Amazon.com Inc was recently seen to be gathering strong evidence against the lawsuit that was filed against it by a startup business known as the Angies List in which it was accused of applying for a little too many motions that were deemed as irrelevant by the rival firm.
The ecommerce giant has so far collected many strong counter arguments for the lawsuit that has been filed and is ready to get back at the rivals once again. Angie’s is a small company that is currently providing the customers with individuals that would take up home services and is being run on a much smaller level than that of the retail giant.
The lawsuit has been filed against Amazon E-commerce stating that there were employees and individuals belonging to the company who were using the services of Angie’s List to carry out their commercial business activities, something that the agenda of the startup business completely works against. Angie’s business might not be on a big level but it has never allowed a business to be work commercially under its guidance which is why the problem has arisen. The lawsuit has been filed with the Court of Indianapolis which has created a stir within the retailer company.
On the other hand, among the many arguments that Amazon is gathering to save itself from the lawsuit, one of them states how Angie’s is also working against the law by looking for customers with potential through other media sites such as LivingSocial and Groupon which is also an act of offense. Moreover, this law suit was initially filed against Amazon Home Services but now it has also covered the whole platform of the ecommerce company which has infuriated the firm even more.
The lawsuit filed mentioned how around twenty employees belonging to Amazon business were actually noted down to join the Angie’s user base and use it as a platform to make the customers on site to come and start business on the retail giant’s website instead. This made the startup business take an action against those employees. In answer to that, the business giant said that Angie’s first need to show the court how the small business is actually carrying out its business and that there are many things that are being done by them which are not lawfully correct.
The giant also requested the company to give in a detailed account of the ways they observe to take it deals from the customers which made Angie’s not only retaliate but also made them accuse the retailer of misleading the judges at the court.
